  • Naveen Tewari was born on December 14, 1977, in Kanpur. Dr. Sachindan is his father's name. His father was a professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Kanpur.
  • Naveen grew up in Kanpur and graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • In 2015, Naveen Tewari invested $1.2 million alongside IDG Ventures in NestAway, an Indian start-up with locations in major cities such as Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Bengaluru, among others. 
  • At IIM Kanpur, he met Amit Gupta and Mohit Saxena. Naveen began his entrepreneurial life in a Mumbai shared apartment. 
  • Before launching InMobi, they launched mKhoj, an SMS search engine similar to Guruji and AskLaila that failed quickly. mKhoj, an SMS search engine, was founded with a $500,000 angel investment.
